The course provides overview of Patentability criteria, Patent searching, Patent drafting, Patent Prosecution, National Biodiversity Authority application, Patent enforcement, Patent commercialisation, Licensing and technology transfer.

The Indian Patent Office (IPO) has released draft guidelines for processing patent applications related to the AYUSH systems. The course signifies the significance of patenting in these inventions and the procedural aspects of the same.
